Donald Joseph Qualls, better called DJ Qualls is an American model and actor. Apart from the Road Trip role, he was also a part of The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. He has also appeared in more than 22 shows on television such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order and others. Qualls had been diagnosed as having Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 14, and has battled the disease ever since. After two years of treatment the cancer is now into Remission. The treatment, however, at this early stage had a severe effect on his body and thwarted his growth. When he first started to make decisions, financial security seemed like his ultimate objective. He'd experienced poverty during his childhood. When I've lived in such a shabby way over the years I have to be able to enjoy this level of financial assurance. Otherwise the world seems beyond my reach. He also looks back at his childhood and hopes to take action on the issue of bullying. He says "Cruelty breaks the heart of my heart." DJ's ideal job is be a father in reel as well as in actual life. He admits that Directors do not choose me for those roles. He'd love to become father one day in order to spend more time to his son as well as his professional.
