Francia Raisa and Lindsey Broad

Raisa was born to both parents in Los Angeles. She has two sisters, Irlanda Almendarez and Italia Almendarez. Francia's first name is Italian for France. Italia is Italia, the Italian term for Italy is too Irlanda. Her mother Virginia Almendarez has Mexican roots while her father, Renan, has roots in Honduras. Renan adopted the name of El Cucuy just a few days after Francia became a mother. He is a famous radio personality and a top Latino DJ from Los Angeles. Francia, along with her two sisters, were raised in the home of a famous father. Francia can speak fluently in Spanish and English. Francia began dancing when she was 5 years old. The classes were available to students of any type of dance. There were classes that included many types, including tapping dancing and acrobatics. In addition, she was enrolled in classes for sports like Karate and ice skates. While in junior high, Francia took acting and modeling classes. Francia went to Bishop Alemany School located in Mission Hills (California) for her secondary school education. She was a part of the team of cheerleaders at the school.
